The Potential of Collagen Membrane  in (GTR) - Comparison Study -

Dr. Ossama Alkhatib

The aim of this study was to introduce the effect of periodontal treatment by
GTR procedures (coronally positioned flap, occlusive barrier membrane, bone graft, and other bio- compatible materials) for regenerating a new attachment and bone in defects with deep periodontal pocket ≥5mm .
when patient completes initial preparations, and baseline measurements, the GTR surgical treatment starts with using( full thickness flap, resorbable type I collagen membrane, and DFDBA).Before and After surgery; pt. will follow up for maintenance at interval recalls:(B.L.,1M,3M,6M,9M,12M) to check
the clinical variations (PD, AT, Rc, BD,BL, OHI-S,…..) and radiographs.
The clinical and experimental results illustrate significant statistical differences, and GTR is being the promise technique that has superior solutions for treatment of periodontal destructive disease .
